Hon. Justice Dan Akiiki-Kiiza Appointed to the Supreme Court in the Seychelles
High Court Judge Hon. Justice Dan Akiiki-Kiiza was\r\nrecently appointed to Supreme Court in the Seychelles. Hon. Justice\r\nAkiiki-Kiiza was appointed by Seychelles President James Michel following a\r\nrecommendation by the constitutional appointments authority as part of a three\r\nyear programme of support by the commonwealth secretariat to the Seychelles Judiciary.

The Hon. Principal Judge Hon. Justice Dr. Yorokamu\r\nBamwine confirmed Hon. Justice Akiiki-Kiiza’s move to Seychelles and had been\r\ngranted a one year’s leave to embark on his new challenge given the fact that\r\nhe was set to retire next year from the Judiciary.

Hon. Justice David Batema, who has been his\r\ndeputy, now replaces Justice Akiiki-Kiiza as the head of Fort portal high court\r\ncircuit.
\r\n\r\n 
Hon. Justice Akiiki-Kiiza‘s career spans several\r\nposts as magistrate, senior magistrate, chief magistrate and inspector of the\r\nCourts of Judicature.
